I’m not much of a “joiner” of anything. I like to do my own thing. Buuuuut, I’m really trying to make this running thing happen for me (a mostly solitary activity – which appeals to me) and I just need a little help with how to do it right. As the years creep up, I’d like to be able to stay physically fit and without injury preferably. So, do I try to do this solitary thing in a group? Or does it defeat the purpose?
I’m not a natural runner (I had 4 seconds to spare in bootcamp on my run and that was 20 minutes for 1.5 miles – and I was 18). I don’t know if there is just a mental block or what, but after a race I feel so proud of the accomplishment because it is really really hard for me. So, as we are heading in to 2019, I’m focusing on the year of physical health. I’ve shopped around and found a running group for the Galloway run/walk/run method. I’ve reached out to the organizers to see if I would be a good fit:

My husband and I just did a run/walk Hershey Half Marathon in just under 3 hours.We signed up for another half on 3/27 in Virginia Beach. I’d like to run it at 13 MM (with a stretch goal of 12:30MM).
